Transaction fee & payouts
The 5% transaction fee, how it's calculated, the currency, and how money actually reaches you.
Two separate parties take a cut of a paid ticket: Soaly (the transaction fee) and your payment provider (its own processing fee). Soaly never holds your funds - your provider settles money to you directly. This article covers the part Soaly controls.
The transaction fee
Soaly charges a 5% transaction fee on paid tickets. Free tickets carry no fee. The fee is computed as 5% × order total and recorded per paid booking, so your reports always reconcile.
On a GHS 100 order:
| Line | Amount | Who takes it |
|---|---|---|
| Order total | GHS 100.00 | Paid by the attendee |
| Transaction fee (5%) | GHS 5.00 | Soaly |
| Provider processing fee | Varies | Paystack or Hubtel (set by them) |
| Your net | GHS 95.00 less the provider fee | Settled to you by the provider |
Currency
All payments are processed in Ghana cedis (GHS).
Payouts
Soaly is not a wallet. Funds are settled to you by your connected provider (Paystack or Hubtel) on their payout schedule - Soaly doesn't hold or release your money. Configure bank details and payout timing in your provider's own dashboard.
Tracking fees
- Per-event totals (gross, the 5% fees, net) live in Financial reports.
- A per-booking transaction-fee history is exportable from Settings → Billing & Plans - see Invoices & payment method.
