Publishing & sharing
Take an event live, the validation Soaly runs first, and how to share or pause it.
Publishing flips an event from draft to published: its public booking page goes live and it starts accepting bookings. Soaly runs a short validation first so you can't publish something attendees can't actually buy.
Before you publish
- At least one ticket must exist - there's nothing to sell otherwise.
- For a paid event, a payment provider must be connected. Publishing is blocked with: *"Cannot publish a paid event without a connected payment provider."* and links you to Settings → Integrations.
- Free events need no provider.
Publish & share
- 1Open the event and go to the Dashboard tab.
- 2Choose Publish. On success the status becomes published and your team gets an *"Event is live"* notification.
- 3Copy and share the booking page link - the public URL where attendees register and pay.
Pausing or stopping sales
- Unpublish - returns the event to draft and stops new bookings immediately; fully reversible. See Event statuses.
- Sales cut-off - set a close time and bookings stop automatically when it passes, without unpublishing. See Capacity, dates & sales cut-off.
- Sell-out - sales also stop when tickets hit their quantity limit or the event hits capacity.
Publishing is not one-way. Unpublish to keep editing privately, then publish again - existing bookings are preserved across the round trip.
